Tool Trap

Description

A Tool Trap could prevents loss of a tool string down-hole if Slickline is pulled-off from the Rope Socket. It is normally installed between the Lubricators and the Slickline BOP in a Slickline PCE. Manual and hydraulically actuated models are available. The hydraulic model allows for operation of the tool trap from a remote location. Hydraulic Tool Traps are more commonly applied because of it more safe and ease of operation.

Normally, Tool Trap applied in Slickline PCE is same to Wireline PCE.
