Description
Single Ram BOP is recommended applied in Slickline Operation and the Working Pressure had better ≦ 5000Psi. Sometimes some Oil Well which Working Pressure 10000Psi could also applied too. It is not recommended to applied in Gas Well with Working Pressure 10000Psi.
There are two types of Single Ram BOP, Manual BOPs and Hydraulic BOPs. The cost of a Manual BOP is lower than a Hydraulic BOP, cause it doesn’t have Hydraulic Cylinder. But Hydraulic BOPs are more commonly applied than Manual BOP because of the speed of closing action and ease of operation. During an emergency, often the BOP is not easily accessible to allow fast manual operation and therefore hydraulically actuated is preferred.
Because of the Wireline unique structure, the Single Ram BOP don’t not applied in Wireline Operation normally cause it could not inject grease into Single Ram BOP.
