Description
The Pump-in Tee, when rigged up is placed between the Wellhead Adapter and the Wireline BOP. Therefore the Quick Union sizes and pressure ratings must be compatible with all surface equipment.
A Pump-in Tee is an essential part of a wireline rig up. By connecting a kill line to the WECO ( Hammer Union ) type connection, the well can be killed in an emergency situation. They are also used to facilitate the pressure testing and bleed down of the Lubricators. This line can also be used to pressure test or release pressure from the surface equipment.
Normally, Pump-in Tee applied in Slickline PCE is same to Wireline PCE.
