Wireline Setting Tool

Wireline Setting Tools come in single and multi-stage. Single stage tools provide dynamic force which is used to set Bridge Plugs, Production Packer or Cement Retainers. Multi-stage setting tools feature increased stoke length to enable the setting of casing patches, long travel bridge plugs or any requiring more than the normal stroke and tension of conventional pressure setting tools.
The force is created by the gradual burning of a high temperature power charge which produces high pressure gas that is contained by an o-ring sealed top piston. The piston applies the necessary stroke and tension to set and release from the equipment.
