Tool Catcher

Popular Name: Tool Catcher / Head Catcher
Description

Tool Catcher is a safety device for installation below the Grease Injection Head or Slickline Stuffing Box. It serves as a safeguard to prevent tools from falling downhole. If Slickline Tools are forced into the top of the Lubricators or wire pull out of rope sockets, the catchers clamp down on the fishing necks of the tools and secure them in a tight, claw-like grip.
In an additional safety feature, Hydraulic Tool Catchers are assembled with Ball Check Valves that effectively seal off wellbore pressure in the event of a pull-off.
There are two types of Ball Check Valves for selective. One is the Tool Catcher supplied with and integral Ball Check Valve Assembly. Another Ball Check Valve is designed to assemble in a separately Crossover. And the second type will be recommended because it is easy for assembly, maintenance and flexible in application. The Tool Catcher with separated Ball Check Valve could service in Working Pressure 15000Psi.

Normally, Tool Catcher applied in Slickline PCE is same to Wireline PCE.
