◊ Hubei exploration and development of new shale gas resources
Recently, it was learned at the “Mineral Exploration Action” work conference held in Jingmen City, Hubei Province that in the new round of “mineral exploration action”, mineral resources such as phosphate ore, lithium ore, shale gas, etc. have been newly discovered in the city, which will inject lasting momentum into future economic and social development.

On September 23, Jin Zhijun, an academician of the CAS Member, president of the Energy Research Institute of Peking University, and president of the Ordos Energy Research Institute of Peking University, led a delegation to the Mengsu Economic Development Zone Vision Modern Energy Equipment Industrial Park and the Longji Photovoltaic Whole Industry Chain Project for investigation and discussion. ◊ Increase in Production of Deep Atmospheric Shale Gas in Baima Block of Fuling Shale Gas
According to the Fuling shale gas field, the daily production of deep atmospheric shale gas in the Baima block exceeds 1.4 million cubic meters, an increase of 535000 cubic meters year-on-year, with a growth rate of 75.89%, demonstrating the good development prospects of deep atmospheric shale gas in the gas field.
◊ Development experiment of horizontal wells in thin sandstone reservoirs in Xinjiang Oilfield
The horizontal well development test of the thin sandstone reservoir under the beach bar sand sedimentation mode in the Mazhong 4 well area of the Mahu Oilfield in Xinjiang has been successful. The average single well production of the horizontal wells MZHW4001 and MZHW4002 exceeded 339 days, and the cumulative oil production exceeded 20000 tons, with an average daily oil production of 62.3 tons, exceeding the designed production capacity of a single well by twice.
